Happy Now?
Wavering between reality and fiction, dipping in and out of the show. This play is about how grief can take over and how you, yourself can get lost in grief without any sense of control.
Amber lost her dad. It’s pretty sad. She doesn't really want to talk about it. She's a theatre maker. A professional one. She shouldn’t be bothered by such a personal obstacle. But her dad keeps on popping up everywhere.
You’re in for a show: lights, smoke, music and dancing, the whole shebang, but Amber can’t keep it up. Her dad is everywhere. She can’t really do this big show about her father in the first place. She’s not even able to do any of her other work anymore. So there’s a change of plan.
Between the blurred boundaries of performance and reality, a world is created between grief and theatre.
